Residential Interior Design
Custom homes and private estates, designed as complete interiors rather than a sequence of rooms.
Most of our work begins the same way: a family has bought or built a home in South Florida and needs the interior to match the life they actually live in it. Where the light lands in the afternoon. Where everyone ends up standing during a party. Which rooms are for show and which are for Sunday.
We design the whole house, not a collection of individual rooms. Entryways, great rooms, open-plan living and dining, kitchens, primary suites, bathrooms, dressing rooms, home offices, media and wellness spaces, and the covered outdoor living that South Florida makes essential. Each one is resolved against the others, so the house reads as one idea rather than eleven decisions.
The work runs from concept and space planning through material and finish selection, custom millwork, lighting design, furniture specification and procurement, and final installation and styling. Design fees are quoted both hourly and as flat rates.

Common questions
Do you design the whole house or individual rooms?
Both, though full-home projects are the majority of our work. A whole-house scope lets every space be resolved against the others, which is what makes a home read as one idea rather than a series of separate decisions.
How are your design fees structured?
Jorge Castillo Design offers both hourly and flat rate design fees. Which one fits depends on the scope: flat fee suits a defined project, hourly suits consultations and phased work. Fees are quoted per project.
Which parts of South Florida do you work in?
We have delivered residential projects in Miami, Miami Beach, Fort Lauderdale, Hollywood, Davie, Doral, Weston, Southwest Ranches and Boynton Beach, plus projects in Chapel Hill, North Carolina and Chicago, Illinois.
Do you work with the contractor and architect?
Yes. Interior design runs in coordination with the build team throughout, which is where most of the value is added: decisions about millwork, lighting and material have to be made in the right order and at the right time.
